Condition: Boards and spine with substantial rubbing to surfaces. Heavy edge and spine wear present. Joints are intact. Bumping and wear to corners. Gilt on front board in place. Repairs made to hinges to sure up binding, including: front and back hinge re-pasted in place, front paste-down re-adhered to board, both sets of free end papers reinforced with book-tape. As such, binding is intact with no shaken leaves but still remains fragile due to age. End-papers and title page with chipping. Damp-staining at tail of entire text-block. Pages tanned.
